About Mica Mabragaña
Argentine dressage rider and trainer, based at Storybook Farm in North Salem, New York.
Buenos Aires, 1986
Micaela “Mica” Mabragaña was born in Buenos Aires in 1986. Her route into professional dressage took her from Argentina to the United States, where she arrived in 2005 as a working student and assistant to Lendon Gray.
She has been resident in the United States since 2010. Today she trains at Storybook Farm in North Salem, New York, where she works with horses and riders at different stages of their development.
Her own competition career has taken her to the Young Riders World Cup final, the Pan American Games and the CDI Grand Prix arena. Those experiences inform a teaching approach that values correct basics, patience and a clear plan for every horse.

Classical training, individual attention
Mica’s teaching is built around the individual horse and rider. The work starts with the horse’s balance, rhythm and way of going, and progresses only when the basics are established. Riders are encouraged to understand the “why” behind each exercise, not simply reproduce a movement.
Lessons and training are available at Storybook Farm. Clinics can be arranged for groups and organizations.
